The Charitable Initiatives
In 2023, we made a deliberate choice to infuse our holiday celebration with a charitable spirit. By introducing a donation option during ticket purchases, our goal was clear – extend the season of giving beyond the glittering lights. We aimed to foster community engagement, support local charities, and spread goodwill during a time when it’s needed most.
NoogaLights Giveback Stats 2023
Building on the success of the previous year, our community’s generosity soared to new heights in 2023. Together, we gave an astounding total of $67,337 in donations and donated services. Here’s the breakdown for 2023:
- Keep Soddy Daisy Beautiful: $486
- Soddy-Daisy Community Library: $772
- Soddy-Daisy Firefighters Association: $3,079
- North Hamilton County Chamber of Commerce: $2,500
- Additionally, a remarkable in-kind donation of the impressive 65-foot Community Christmas tree at Soddy-Daisy’s City Hall, valued at $65,000.
NoogaLights Giveback Stats 2022
In 2022, we began our charity campaigns to financially benefit several local nonprofit partners, in addition to a food drive and free advertisement at the 2022 drive-thru event. Together, we gave back a grand total of $17,488 to various charitable causes through monetary donations and services. Take a look at the breakdown of these donations:
- Human Education Society: $1,163
- Northside Neighborhood: $1,162
- Bethel Bible Village: $1,163
- Soddy-Daisy High School clubs and organizations: Over $8,000
- Free entry tickets to area nonprofits: Over $6,000
